Interested in getting involved in what else we can do to improve Cairnhill Woods? Cairnhill Woods Group are holding their Annual General Meeting on Thursday the 23rd February in Westerton Hall 19:30.

Anyone living in the Bearsden West community council area is a voting member of the group and can stand for secretary, chair or treasurer. Any other interested parties can be approved by the committee

I am organising a charity fundraiser for Scottish Mental Health charities: SAMH and COSCA. I took it upon myself to organise this event to help people who are suffering with a mental health issue, or who have family or friends suffering. After losing two family members as a result of suicide and after battling with depression and PTSD for the past 4 years myself, I realised that I would not be here today, in recovery, if it were not for the help of charities like this. They gave me advice and more importantly they gave my family the support and explanaitions they needed to help me through.

Cairnhill Woods Group will we will be doing a Dusk Walk, setting moth traps and detecting Bats we hope in Cairnhill Woods, Tues 27th Sept . This will be with Alex Hogg, Community Participation Officer, Butterfly Conservation Scotland. More info on this and 8th Oct fungal foray to follow
