Gala day 2011 will kick off at midday 10th Sept with the Gala Queen’s parade making its way from Wheatfield to Westerton Hall. We’re celebrating 30 years of our lovely library so come along dressed as a character from any story. Let your imagination run wild!
As ever the playing fields will host a range of activities – including welly whanging, whacky races and story Tipi tent. . Westerton Tennis Club will host games and activities, including the Kid’s corner for younger ones and face paints upstairs. The Brownie hut will be tranformed into a tearoom for the day. Dont forget how quickly the craft fayre sold out last year…head in early to sample the goods..”

Bearsden West community council have organised a Hustings on Tuesday 19th April, 7.30pm, Westerton Hall. for the up coming Scottish Parliamentary Elections. All the main candidates and some of the regional list candidates will be there to answer your questions.

Cairnhill Woods

The Cairnhill Hiil woods group are holding a Volunteer Day on Sunday 8th March, 10.00 – 12.30.

Come and help with clearing rhodedendron and putting up marker posts for the nature trail. Meet on the tarmac path between Henderland Rd and Ravelston Rd.
