To start the walk enter Cairnhill Woods from the entrance on Cairnhill View. Walk straight ahead and head for the open field you will see ahead. Enter the field and walk straight up with the fence to your right. You will reach a path. Follow the path.
There are various paths within the woods. Depending on how short/long a walk you would like you can take different paths. It is a small wood so you are unlikely to get lost. The Cairnhill Woods Group group set up a self-guided trail round the woods with numbered marker posts along the way. More information can be found on the leaflet posted through doors in the Bearsden West area in Spring 2001.
